Once the gamepad is damp or accidentally dropped into the water, it will cause leakage or short circuit between the lines, which will change the working parameters of the circuit and even burn the internal chip. In this case, first use hygroscopic materials (such as toilet paper, etc.) to absorb the moisture on the surface of the circuit board. Then, wipe the printed circuit board clean with absolute alcohol. Finally, it can be air-dried naturally, or the circuit board can be blow-dried with a hair dryer. When using a hair dryer, you can use either a hot windshield or a cold windshield. When using a hot windshield, keep the circuit board away from the hair dryer to prevent the high temperature from baking the parts on the circuit board. When using a cold windshield, the drying time is relatively longer, but it is more beneficial to the safety of components and circuit boards.

Electronic circuit boards are not only afraid of tides, but also afraid of severe vibrations. The electronic circuit in the game controller is mainly composed of an integrated circuit, a peripheral resistance-capacitance component and a crystal oscillator (abbreviated as crystal oscillator). If the handle is dropped on the ground or hits the wall, the transistor and integrated circuit may be intact, but the crystal oscillator is often damaged. When the above-mentioned similar situation occurs, just replace the crystal oscillator with the same parameter again. If the fault is still not eliminated, check whether there is false soldering or desoldering in the circuit, and whether the transistor is damaged, but generally do not replace the integrated circuit easily.

Third, the maintenance of some key failures

The buttons of the game handle are generally made of conductive rubber, and the lower surface of the buttons is evenly coated with conductive carbon material. When a key is pressed, the conductive layer on the lower surface of the key will contact the copper skin on the printed circuit board, thereby turning the circuit on. However, this layer of conductive material is very thin, and it is easy to fall off after long-term use, causing poor contact or short circuit.

To eliminate this fault, first clean the circuit board and the bottom surface of the keys with alcohol; then repair the conductive layer on the bottom surface of the keys. There are generally two ways to repair the rubber conductive layer of the button:

1. Evenly spread a layer of 502 glue and 4B pencil powder mixture on the bottom surface of the button, and dry it for use;

2. Use 502 glue to stick a thin aluminum film or other conductive material on the bottom surface of the button to make the bright side of the metal face down. The aluminum film material can be the inner wrapping paper of cigarettes or chewing gum. This method is widely applicable and can be used to repair the keys of calculators, telephones, remote controls, etc.
